Smarter signals, safer children.

CG Health helps caregivers anticipate climate-related health risks by translating environmental data and child-specific factors into clear, timely and personalised preventive guidance.

  • Informed by 50 caregivers
  • Four climate-health risk areas
  • Responsible by design

Designed for responsible collaboration with caregivers, communities, researchers and public-health partners.

Preventive guidance

Plan outdoor time for cooler parts of the day.

Offer fluids regularly and watch for early signs of discomfort.

Climate information is available. Child-specific guidance is not.

Climate-related hazards such as extreme heat, air pollution, flooding and climate-sensitive disease can affect children differently depending on their age, health needs and location. Yet caregivers often receive fragmented environmental information or general alerts that do not explain what the risk means for their child or what action to take next.

  1. Fragmented information

Weather, environmental and health information often comes from separate sources, making it difficult for caregivers to form a clear picture.

  2. Generic alerts

Most warnings do not account for a child’s age, health needs, location or individual vulnerability.

  3. Unclear next steps

Knowing that a hazard is present does not always tell caregivers what practical preventive action they should take.

From environmental signals to practical preventive action

CG Health brings environmental intelligence and child-specific factors together to help caregivers understand emerging risks and take appropriate preventive action earlier.

  1. Step 1

    Understand the child

Relevant information such as age, location and selected health vulnerabilities helps contextualise potential risk.

  2. Step 2

    Monitor environmental conditions

The platform brings together weather, air-quality and geospatial signals relevant to child health.

  3. Step 3

    Assess and explain risk

An explainable risk engine identifies the potential risk level and the factors contributing to it.

  4. Step 4

    Guide preventive action

Caregivers receive timely, personalised and practical recommendations designed to support informed decisions.

CG Health supports preventive awareness and decision-making. It does not diagnose illness or replace professional medical advice.

Helping families prepare for changing environmental risks

  • Extreme heat

Supporting earlier heat-risk awareness and practical steps to reduce children’s exposure.

  • Air pollution and respiratory risk

Helping caregivers interpret environmental conditions in relation to children’s respiratory vulnerability.

  • Flooding

Providing earlier, location-relevant guidance to support household preparedness and child safety.

  • Climate-sensitive diseases

Supporting preventive awareness of changing environmental conditions associated with risks such as dengue.

Built around the needs of caregivers

Early formative research with 50 caregivers in Malaysia helped shape the platform’s focus on personalisation, clarity and practical action.

93%

Said they were likely or very likely to use a personalised climate-health platform.

71%

Believed personalised alerts could improve their decision-making.

57%

Reported that relevant information was fragmented.

50%

Identified air pollution as a leading concern.

36%

Felt that existing alerts were too general.

Designed for local validation and responsible scale

CG Health is preparing pilot and validation opportunities with prospective public-health, academic and community collaborators. Each implementation is intended to be adapted to local climate risks, health priorities, language, governance requirements and community needs.

  • Prospective implementation and evaluation

    Malaysia

Priority areas include extreme heat, air pollution, dengue and flooding, with prospective implementation and evaluation alongside public-health, academic and community stakeholders.

  • Early pilot planning

    Pakistan

Early pilot planning focuses on locally relevant climate-health risks, community needs and responsible evidence generation.

  • Initial feasibility engagement

    Kenya

Initial engagement is exploring the feasibility of a climate-health pilot responsive to extreme heat, flooding, dust, poor air quality and climate-sensitive diseases.

All pilots remain subject to partner agreement, ethics and governance requirements, local data-protection obligations, technical validation and implementation readiness.

Responsible by design

Climate-health technology must be transparent, safe and responsive to the communities it serves. CG Health is being developed with responsible innovation principles embedded throughout product design, implementation and evaluation.

  • Explainability

Risk levels should be accompanied by understandable reasons and practical guidance.

  • Privacy and data minimisation

Only information necessary for the intended purpose should be collected and appropriately protected.

  • Human oversight

Technology should support—not replace—caregivers, health professionals and public-health systems.

  • Local adaptation

Guidance, thresholds and implementation approaches should reflect local evidence, language, regulation and community context.
